Z notes that an Arabic name for this plant "sih" or "seeh" is also used for Artemisia sieberi.

Cautions

Spartium junceum contains sparteine (quinolizidine alkaloid) & junceoside (triterpenoid saponin) which may cause exccessive vomiting, & kidney irritation. Seeds are poisonous to animals.
