Mandragora officinarum is toxic with roots & leaves especially poisonous. Alkaloids are responsible for its toxicity including anticholinergic, hallucinogenic & hypnotic activity. Symptoms include asphyxiation, vomiting, diarrhea, blurred vision, pupil dilatation, dryness of mouth, difficulty urinating, dizziness, headache, vomiting, blushing, rapid heart rate, hyperactivity & hallucinations.
